The grooved surface, which lends to Reykjavik its particular character, is inspired by the corrugated sheets fitted to many Icelandic homes. Designed by Sebastian Holmbäck, the unique aspect of the  light is the translucent porcelain, which allows a soft light through - this magically transforms the pendant light into a decorative, warm spot.
