The organic aesthetic to the Knock series is formed from a harmonious blend of wood and glass, a combination that provides a distinct Scandinavian and unassuming look. The wood base component that features as a halo for the light source is in fact reversible, with one side finished in a varnished, natural colour and the other; a dark black lacquer. Astros has the same effect as when we look at the night sky, the forms that the different systems create transport us to a moment of contemplation and serenity.

It is this inspiration that drove designer Martín Azúa to create the Astros collection. Trained in the fine arts, his projects are narrative and emotional. In his pieces, he looks for a subtle simplicity inspired by nature which is evident in the design of Astros. Satin triplex opal blown glass serves as the light emitting centre of this galaxy, floating in place and accentuated by the elongated supports made of high-strength injected Zamak.
